Family and couples Shoot while practising social distancing London

Family  and couples shoot while practicing social distancing London

While we are now going to be practising social distancing to be safe the Family and couples shoot on locations such as your back garden or the park is the way forward!. Most of my shoots consist of me shooting from a distance and getting the shots we need

Most of us are self-isolating and making sure we take care of our family, parents, and grandparents as much as we can. Most of us are also lucky enough to work from home or have requested as you are taking care of someone at home. Kids are staying home and getting used to the new routine. The shoot takes place at a location or a park where we can maintain our distance and get the shot we need.

Couples who have got engaged during this period or have been living together for the first time ever can also take advantage of these shoots to remember this time.

I get so many questions asked while inquiring about the outdoors sessions so I have put together some FAQs here to make it easier for you

FQAs

THE PLANNING

To book your session I take £150 deposit and the rest is paid a week before to shoot. We decide on the location of your choice and meet at the car park or at the entrance of the location. The initial consultation call, we will be discussing how many members of the family you have, what you like, and if you like to go for a theme for the shoot. This really makes the shoot fun if you are wearing theme colors, bring props, or dress up your kids or pets.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER DOESN’T PLAY BALL ON THE DAY?

We simply reschedule… you have not seen my hair in the rain! I keep my date flexible so we can reschedule for a new date the day before. I tend to keep an eye on the weather for the days we have the shoot scheduled.

DELIVERY OF THE IMAGES

The images are sent to you via an online gallery ready to print yourself or order them directly from my store.. It’s pretty easy. The lab will send you the print directly so there is no human contact here too.

WHAT TO WEAR?

We will discuss this on the days coming up to the shoot and I also tend to send a Pinterest board full of ideas on what to wear. You can then decide on the color scheme you love and wear whatever you feel comfortable in.. As I said – some dressing up is also allowed for kids and pets!  Some of my family shoots are can be found HERE

HOW WILL YOU BE SHOOTING?

I shot using a 200-700mm zoom lens so I can be as far away as I need to and shoot from a distance. The minimum distance for a full-length portrait is 3-meter maximum can be 10 meters…. So I got you covered! We can walk around keeping our distance and I can carry on shooting from a distance capturing your family having a great time out!

ROMANTIC CHURCH WEDDING AT ST JAMES CHURCH IN GERRADS CROSS – HOLLIE AND WILL

IF YOU LOVE SPARKLY THINGS THEN YOU’LL FIND SO MUCH INSPIRATION FROM THIS ROMANTIC CHURCH WEDDING!

Hollie and Will got married at the gorgeous St James Church, Gerrards cross. It was a super fun Romantic Church wedding, with so much color everywhere and an open bar to keep guests entertained.

The ceremony

The wedding took place in a beautiful church and was decorated with flowers, which was lovely. The ceremony included several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was a romantic occasion, full of lots of cheer.

After the ceremony, we had a confetti aisle, which I love doing, and I got some really special photos of the confetti moment. The weather at this Romantic Church wedding was springlike, but that didn’t put a dampener on moods.

The Romantic Church wedding

The reception was held in the ballroom. The venue is perfect for weddings because it’s so cosy and relaxed, and it’s got such a beautiful vibe, especially in the evenings when the sun goes down.

For the reception, the couple had organised delicious canapes for their guests, and everyone had so much fun. Guests were then called for dinner, which was a spit roast – it was delicious. A mix of Beef, Lamb, chicken roast, with Veggie options for someone like me.

The evening

After the speeches, guests tucked into the sweet table and had a go in the photo booth, and the dance floor was packed all evening. The Spotify playlist played all the best songs to get everyone dancing.

The evening ended with sparklers, which was incredible, and everyone had a great time. The whole Romantic Church wedding was so laid back, from the romantic vows to the last dance.

Advice for planning your wedding

The day was so beautifully planned, Hollie had her 4 bridesmaids to help her with getting ready and throughout the ceremony. The ceremony was held by Will’s father at their local church and the church were they met the first time too.

I really love this detail of the day as having your wedding at a place which has so much importance to you is absolutely amazing. Hollie was given away by 3 of her brother who in contrast to the couple is not at all religious and they were very respectful of all the readings and the songs are sung at the ceremony. The best part of the day was the speeches as you can imagine! 3 brother sharing their memories of their little sister were emotional and so joyous. My main memory of the speech was ” my mother had 3 sons and then decided to have Hollie to make sure she got it right the 4th time”. you can imagine the laughter in the room!

I loved this Romantic Church wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a wedding photographer, get in touch.

Here are Hollie and Will’s story in photos.

The Ceremony.

The Ceremony took place on time and we were able to capture all the amazing shots inside the church leading up to the confetti throwing at the end too. Have I told you I love a good confetti shot! Regardless if you are willing to get drenched in the dried flowers or paper confetti, these complete the ceremony of the day!

DIY, reception at the back garden of the house

There were so many DIY elements to the reception party for the day guests and the evening guest. A live band, lots of BBQ food and drinks bar. Love all these little details that were all made from scratch to bring the reception togehter.

Peckham engagement shoot

This adorable couple is so gorgeous and had me swooning over these images since I took them. It was a beautiful sunny day in Peckham, London and we decided to take a stroll through the spring blossoms. Bride to be Kennedy who wore a checkered dungaree and groom to be Datham in his double denim look looked ever so trendy and hip. Kenndey’s hair is absolutely to die for and this is one of my favorite pre-wedding shoots so far.

Tips for bridal and groom preparations.

Tips for bridal /groom prep shots

The Morning of

When you decide where you want to get ready, you already know who is going to be with you in the morning of. . Your very own squad..!!

I cover all love the London, East, South and all of the UK for Wedding photography. I also have a little blog post here which will help you on the venues planning too ! https://www.roshniphotography.com/venues-around-hertfordshire-with-outdoors-ceremony-license/

It’s important to know what location you are going to get ready as a photographer as I would love to make sure all the important things are captured including all the details of your dress, rings, invitations, RSVPs, welcome notes, thank you notes and the list goes one.

I love to arrive early for your morning prep to be there when you are starting to get ready. This helps me understand the location and the get to know all your bridal /groom parties. Also i love an early start to so i can capture the story of your day!. The make up artist will be doing their work on you and your brides or the suit designer will be there to help you get ready. I want to be there to meet them too and see the wonderful work they do to help bring it all together.

Coffee someone said?! Love a good coffee in the morning. I sometimes also bring my own so i am not without it at some point in the morning. If your wedding is at the same location where you are getting ready then that is a bonus. I walk on the grounds and plan the day for later shots and also watch your ceremony area getting all decorated and ready. The venues i have shot at in 2019 have been so amazing, I am not able ot say that  I have met some good friends through the venue. Its always good to make new contacts and support the business.

The morning preparations, the best tip i can give is to make sure you have your bridal party with you or your groomsmen with you as soon as you are all ready so I can get the shots with you all getting involved and have a drink before you get ready to walk down for the ceremony. I capture the natural moment and the in between times when you are enjoying a good chin wag. Parents at the preparations are also important if they can pop down for a little while. Not too long, just 5 minutes, I am sure they will have enough on their plate on the day.

Another tip is to give me 5-10 minute with you alone so I can take some portraits of you in the setting we are in or take you to a quiet place to get some shots. I tend to use mostly indoors near a window or near some stairs if they are available.

All in all the top tip is to enjoy the morning with your pals and let me capture all the silliness and laughter of the day.

HERTFORDSHIRE WEDDINGS |Venues around Hertfordshire with outdoors ceremony license.

2019 has been a great year for me as I was able to visit some great venues around London and Hertfordshire. I love shooting on a location where there are options to shoot indoors and outdoors.

Here are some of the Venues I have shot with the images. If I were a bride to be, I would ask a friend or someone who has used a venue and their experiences. It is imperative to have this reviews and take them with a pinch of a salt as every experience is different.

I also work with and am friends with some celebrants, so if you work with a celebrant then you can get married anywhere, regardless of boring licensing laws !!!! 🙂

Let me share some of the venues around Hertfordshire with outdoors license

Oakley house Bromley Kent.

The venue is just 2 miles outside central Bromley on the A21 at Bromley Common in Kent, Oakley House is a characteristic manor house set in its own beautiful gardens. I shot the wedding fo Jaleesa and Khye here and the ground has so much to offer. There is a bar, garden, new Gazebo, their very own in-house caterers .

Manor of Groves,Hertfordshire .

Manor of Groves is situated in Hertfordshire, a 150 acres in a countryside perfect for a wedding outside London. I had a pleasure of shooting an Indian wedding last year. The hotel is perfect of your guest for an overnight stay as the hotel can reserve up to 10 rooms for the bride to be in advance. the hotel has 80 bedrooms including Superior and Four Poster bedrooms, all with marble bathrooms. Onsite parking and only 2 mins from the Stanstead airport. Venue has to offer a choice of banqueting rooms, plus two outside Gazebo. For receptions, the Manor Suite glass conservatory overlooking the Oriental Garden accommodates  400 guests. The Colonnade Room which is situated adjacent to the gardens can accommodate up to 120 guest.

Shendish Manor,Hertfordshire ,

Shendish Manor Hotel & Golf Course where Victorian splendor meets modern design, Situated in a west of Hertfordshire, the venue has an outdoors gazebo and indoors ceremony room. the Hotel accommodates up to 400 guests with 70 spacious Hotel rooms. The country side hotel has its very own Golf course too. Whats not to like? I shot the Wedding of my good friend Charlotte and Andy , and we opted for an outdoors ceremony although it was a gamble the weather was in out favor. The Hotel also has it very own catering and bar for your evening guests.

My experience: the hotel staff were so friendly and the ground were perfect for what Charlotte wanted din the images. we were able to explore a little and have a little walk on the grounds, were the bride and groom were able to take a breather and spend some alone time before the reception.

Shenley Cricket club Hertfordshire

I was so excited to capture Sarah and Sam’s wedding at the Shenley cricket club last year as we were also graced with snow the day before so the images came out absolutely gorgeous.

Shenley cricket club is on an idyllic Hertfordshire countryside, with vast amount of grounds and indoor/outdoor ceremony options. Sarah and Sam opted for an indoor ceremony with outdoors for Portraits and family shots. The venue possess indoor catering and its very own bar for your guest. The luxury Marque and heated terrace is a perfect area to have the reception or the dinner for your evening guest which is overlooking the grounds of the cricket club. Available between October to April  The venue can hold 100-300 guests.

Reportage Wedding Photography at the Pergola Hills and Gardens London

Will and Carina had their wedding celebrations at the Pergola Hills and Gardens and  there after at the Bull and Gate Pub in Kensington. Will contacted me from the US, as he and Carina were going to visit the UK for their wedding celebrations and we discussed where we would shoot their session. There are so many places in London that we have to choose from, so I suggested a feww places including Peragola! and it did not disappoint.

We had a couple more chats over the phone and emails, and settled for Pergola. Will was having their wedding dinner at the Bull and Gate afters. We started off the session with the family group shots, although the weather on the day was drizzling down, but with the help of some umbrellas and guests as my assistants we managed to caprture some great shots.

Will and Carina were so natural in front of the camera and made it so easy for me to capture their couples shots. I really love the ones Will looking at Karina as you can see how much madly in love they both are. I was able to get so many beautiful images; Pergola has so much to offer too. the place is absolutely beautiful. I really loved the greenery and the architecture.

Here are some images from our session that will give you an idea of how the day went! I hope you like them

Thank you so much x

Wedding at the Sutton Bonington Hall Loughborough

Roshni Photography – Wedding photographer London

Andrea and Barry got married on the 6th of July at the Sutton Bonington Hall in Loughborough, the wedding ceremony took place in the ceremony room and the themed with Winnie the Pooh, the room was decorated with Lavender and the confetti was made of Bubbles. I love having captured all the little details from Winnie the Pooh. Andrea’s friends made a speech with the Pooh references which were just so fitting for the kind of relationship they have.
